Caught in a Timeshare Scam! Help Me!

I've recently been a victim of a timeshare scam. I've owned a timeshare for several years now and recently have grown tired of visiting the same vacation spot year after year.

A few months ago I was cold-called by someone claiming to be a broker of a large timeshare resale company. They said they had a buyer ready to buy my timeshare from me, all I had to do was advertise with their company and give them an up-front fee. I signed their aggreements, did a FCC verification over the phone and everything.

Of course they say that the fee is only until the property is sold or rented. But like all scams, this was too good to be true. I gave them just shy of $2375.56 of my hard earned money, and my property was never sold.

I was really looking forward to taking the money from this sale and putting it towards my son's college tuition for the Spring semester.

I filed complaints with the FCC, the state Agriculture Department and even spoke to a lawyer. Comes to find out that this is a common occurance and that this practice is practically legal! Can you believe that?

I'm desperately asking anyone who has read my story to help out my family. My son has worked very hard to get into his university and reach dean's list each semster.

Things have been difficult in my family for many years and this would have been a saving grace. I've been praying for months for either my money back or my timeshare to be sold. Alas, my prayers have remained unanswered.
